Two large oak chairs came in needing repairs, full restoration, and re-upholstering.
Description: This 300-year-old refectory table was in poor condition when it arrived. Made from a single 13.5-foot piece of oak, it had been kept in a conservatory for years, causing the top to split from heat and cold. The middle sagged because it was only supported by two pillar bases, both of which also needed repair.
To restore it, I dismantled the table, repaired and re-glued the joints, and replaced the three missing drawers. A new central pillar was made to match the originals, so the weight is now supported evenly across three bases. Finally, I ensured the top was flat, re-distressed the surface, and finished it in line with the customer’s instructions.
