Project type: Furniture Restoration

Two large oak chairs came in needing repairs, full restoration, and re-upholstering.

Description: This chest of drawers was badly affected by woodworm, especially in the base. The piece had to be carefully dismantled so a new base could be made and fitted.

Once rebuilt, I repaired the remaining damage and reassembled the entire chest. Finally, it was stripped, sanded, and hand-polished to restore a traditional rich finish.

The result was a complete transformation — from a weakened, damaged piece to a strong and beautifully polished chest of drawers ready for years of use.
